Methodology
Every class and every student is different. I have worked for 8 years teaching people from as young as 5 up til 18.
Lessons should first and foremost be fun and should have the right mix of learner input and teacher led exercises. After all we will be picking something for you to act and play so you need to be super confident you can play it!
Lessons are clearly defined and structured with easy and fun warm ups and recaps at the start and end of each session. Feedback can be given either in writing or verbally as we progress.
Progression is tracked by grades, or by reaching a specific and talked about goal that we come to together!
With all this we can hope to get the best out of your lessons!
Experience
I graduated Birmingham School of Acting with a BA(Hons) Community and Applied Theatre degree in 2012. For 8 years I have worked as a Professional LAMDA teacher around the West Midlands. I have a 100% merit and Distinction rate for all my students. I can help you get the piece that's suits your needs and finding a character that truly clicks with you.
Remember it's your session so you should be the focus! Let's make your character pop, move and act the way they are meant to! Having an off week? That's fine, we can mix it up with some playwrighting or improvisation as well just to really change it up!

Perfect! From the very first lesson with Shaun, we have been pleased with his professionalism and enthusiasm. Shaun’s lessons are very engaging and he is able to instruct both boys at the same time with little disruption. The boys look forward to each lesson and are super motivated to learn from him. Shaun has been teaching my daughter LAMDA for the past 4 years. She has loved the experience and has recently entered her grade 8 examination! Shaun has helped my daughter get a distinction in all but one of her grades but beyond the grades we have also seen our daughter grow in both confidence and ability!
She looks forward to the sessions every time and she always goes away beaming. The lessons are well structured and I feel Shaun listens to both my daughter and me! Overall a great tutor who we couldn't recommend highly enough!
