About Miguel
I am a qualified, professional Mathematics teacher at an independent secondary school with experience teaching pupils with a wide range of prior attainment at KS3, GCSE/IGCSE and A level in both a classroom environment and one-on-one tutoring, achieving high value-added. I am enthousiastic and passionate about teaching mathematics, and believe in providing a personalised learning experience.
Often pupils lack confidence in their ability to do mathematics, my initial focus is for pupils to adopt a growth mindset, regain confidence and aim higher.
I will never do a pupil's homework for short term gains. My aim is to develop conceptual understanding and therefore improve longer term performance.
Qualified Teacher Status and DBS checked.
PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, University of Cambridge.
MEng (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, First class, University of Bath.
