About Zakiyra

I am a qualified science teacher, I have a degree in Biology from University of Sussex and a PGCE from University of Manchester. I have taught year 7-11, including 3 SEN classes, at the excellent Star Academy schools and picked up all of their tips and tricks along the way. I have also taught privately as long as I can remember.

I have also done a lot of medical writing in my time so science is deeply engrained into my soul. I live and breathe it and hope to teach some of you that it is not as complicated as it seems!

Besides work, I spend a lot of my time hiking, chasing my 2 year old menace to society and finding food spots all over North of England.

Remember, school is never that deep. So let's not stress, let's learn and have fun whilst doing so.

About the lesson

A typical lesson involves interactive activities, puzzle solving, games and lots of questioning and answering in a zero pressure environment.

What I offer:
Personalised lessons tailored to each student’s needs. Exam preparation, revision strategies, and practice assessments. Structured support for catching up or getting ahead
SEN-friendly approach with patient, supportive teaching. Creative resources to make learning engaging and effective.
