About Sofia
I am a motivated and thoughtful professional. I value the relationships I build with my students and believe that the key to my success as a teacher and tutor is knowing my students and their needs, and being able to plan and deliver individualised lessons with the learner at the heart of the plan. I have an in-depth knowledge of the GCSE syllabus, and will aim to help my students develop theirs through a range of interactive and educational (and most often fun!) learning activities.

My lessons are tailored to the needs of the student both regarding content and pace. With 1-2 hour sessions, we can work through the syllabus, consolidating knowledge of the set text's plot, themes, and characters, as well as broader Drama knowledge including performance, design and response to live theatre. We can also tackle exam technique, from essay structure to time management. I am a qualified Drama teacher currently working in a secondary school as well as having a Theatre and Performance Studies BA. I am most specialised in teaching and tutoring GCSE Drama but am happy to tailor lessons to KS2 and KS3 as well.
