About Evan
Thank you for taking your time to read my profile. My name is Evan. I am a qualified secondary mathematics teacher based in Melbourne, Victoria, offering clear, structured, and supportive tutoring for students in Year 7–10 Mathematics, VCE General Mathematics, and VCE Mathematical Methods. I believe many students can succeed in maths with the right support, clear explanation, and practice in align with exam- outcomes. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and focus on building strong understanding, improving confidence, and developing the skills needed for classwork, SACs, and exams. I provide clear, structured, and supportive mathematics tutoring tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning needs. My teaching approach focuses on strong conceptual understanding, step-by-step problem solving, guided practice, and targeted feedback. Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, though longer sessions can be arranged for senior students, small-group classes, or exam revision. A typical lesson includes a review of key skills, explicit teaching, worked examples, guided practice, and independent questions to consolidate understanding and improve performance. I am a qualified secondary mathematics teacher in Melbourne, Victoria, with experience teaching and supporting students in Mathematics (Year 7–10 Mathematics, VCE General Mathematics, VCE Mathematical Methods), Mandarin, and Piano Keyboard.
