Having started my teaching career working with special needs students, I know that the is no ‘one size fits all’ method to teaching. Every student learns in their own unique way and my aim is to inspire every student.
I truly believe that the Arts should be accessible for all and always make it my undertaking to encourage and nurture the most nervous to the most outgoing student.
I have taught in both the state and independent sector as well as vocationally. I have a 1st Class (Hons) degree, PGCE and QTLS.
My specialisms of Drama and Dance are important subjects for me as they encourage team work, social interaction, and confidence as well as communication skills. They deal with real life subjects and allow students to consider the implication of the subject matter and put it across in a sensitive manner. I find the genres fascinating and easily cross curricular, they are bound in history and philosophy and because of their very nature, material can be adapted and manipulated to make them accessible for all.

I am an outgoing person that loves a challenge. I am a good team leader who leads by example of drive and determination. I have been involved in the Performing Arts sector my whole life, from training at a vocational stage school, through to managing a theatre school and teaching in both vocational and compulsory education. I have shown tenacity as a mature student, from re-taking GCSE’s to gaining a 1st Class honours degree to undertaking a PGCE. This fortitude helps me to succeed in anything I turn my hand to.

I worked in the same school as Hayley for many years. She is a kind and effective teacher. The children she taught loved drama and dance and achieved very good examination results as well. I loved attending her summer musical productions, which were brilliant and brought out the best in the large numbers of young people participating.
Hayley is a superb teacher. She is dedicated and student focused, which is why 100% of her students succeed in her subject.
If you are looking for the best, choose Hayley. She really is the best.
