About Rachael
After living in Africa for 7 years, I returned to Australia and started studying teaching. I realized that working with people to develop life-skills, especially in English, brought me so much joy. I am a passionate, positive and gentle person. For fun I love cooking, gardening, hiking and adventuring. Occasionally I get my adrenaline kicks by mountain biking and surfing and I used to be a skateboarder. I really value family, and enjoy playing board games and telling stories with those I love. In my life, I have traveled much of the world and have learned languages where I have lived. Learning a new language is hard yet can be so rewarding. Language has been my favorite way to connect to people around the world, and speaking a local dialect has often made me feel safe in communities. I have lived and taught English in South Africa, Eswatini, Malaysia and more.
