About Laura
I have 2+ years' experience in secondary school of teaching AQA and Edexcel science, including biology, chemistry and physics. I have a PGCE in secondary science with qualified teacher status, and a degree in Biomedical Sciences. I have a passion for my subject - science is rooted in everything we do!

Science is rooted in almost everything we do in everyday life and in my lessons I try to find ways to link it to this, to make science enjoyable and relatable for young people. My goal is to improve students' confidence and understanding of science.
Typically, my lessons are structured with helpful diagrams and explanations, key scientific vocabulary and their meanings, frequent interactive questioning to check understanding throughout the lesson and practice of how to structure answers to exam questions to gain the most marks.
