About Andria

Hello lovely people/ Γεια σας υπέροχοι άνθρωποι, My name is Andria Adamou and I am here to help you start your journey in learning Greek as a foreign/second language. Trust me! In a nutshell, I am from Cyprus and I am a qualified primary school teacher, holding two master's degrees in Special/Inclusive Education and Deaf Education. Ι am a native Greek speaker, I speak English fluently and I have an intermediate level in Spanish. I have a wide experience of teaching children and adults in schools in Cyprus and Spain and apply differentiation effectively. I have a wide experience of accommodating lessons to students with ADHD, autism or dyslexia so everyone can have equal opportunities to this beautiful language journey! I am having passion for my job and I always find the way to create interesting lessons based on my students' needs and interests. When it comes to my experience teaching Greek as a foreign language, I have almost five years' experience, in person and on an online basis.

About the lesson

Through my experience, I know how to create lessons tailored to your needs as not everyone learns the same way. I am open to listen to your suggestions and find the best way to run the lesson in favour of you. I can help you reach your maximum potential no matter which language level you have. This is all about good communication and cooperation. Listening/speaking and reading/writing skills are developed through an interactive and funny way. I always provide useful material and resources to practise during lesson and for homework. We all know that practice makes perfect and you can make it perfect!

HIGHLY EXPERIENCED tutor who knows exactly how to help me grow up with my Greek. She helped me become confident with my speaking skills and improve a lot my grammar and writing skills. She is very patient with me and she explains everything so clear. She provides me with a lot of material to practice during lesson and for homework. She is such a professional and funny person at the same time. I am going to have the certified exam of A2 level of the Greek language center in May and we are working together towards this goal!! I feel so grateful having Andria as my private tutor!

I strongly recommend Andria as a teacher. She is a lovely person with a very warm and friendly approach. She has a deep knowledge of greek language and has a very special teaching approach. She has helped me a lot improve my greek and be able to communicate effectively with my friends and family that live in Greece. She made me feel confident speaking when I visit Greece. She uses different resources during the lesson that helps me a lot to learn like flashcards, online funny games or presentations with step-by-step explanations and examples. She is always very well-organised and the lesson runs smoothly. She has a lot of patience (I am quite slow learner) and she can tackle each of my difficulty and work on this. Writing and speaking were my weakest points at the beginning but now I feel that I have improved a lot. I asked her for giving me some homework and she always prepare some material to practice. I couldn't recommend her more!!

Andria is an excellent, experienced tutor. She helped my daughter move from intermediate to advanced level. We wanted to move permanently to Cyprus and they had intensive online Greek lessons for a year. She is such a kind and patient person and this is reflected on her tutoring approach. My daughter was always excited joining the lesson and she could feel how she was improving little by little. She was caring with my daughter and Andria always used great teaching resources to help her learn.
