About Mayowa
My name is Mayowa, and I am a dedicated and encouraging tutor with a passion for helping children succeed in maths. I understand that every child learns differently, and I take pride in creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow. I believe that with the right approach, every child can become confident in their abilities and enjoy learning. As a patient and supportive tutor, I focus on building strong foundations in maths through clear explanations, step-by-step problem-solving, and fun, engaging exercises. I use real exam-style questions to help students become confident and prepared for SATs, while also developing their reasoning skills. Lessons are typically 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and attention span. I’ve worked with primary school students and understand how to adapt my teaching to different learning styles. These lessons are ideal for Key Stage 2 pupils (ages 9–11) who are preparing for their SATs or who need extra support to feel more confident in maths.
