About Alejandra
I’m a classically trained violinist and experienced music educator with over ten years of teaching across Colombia, Chile, Scotland, and England. I hold a degree in Music Education and a Master’s in Adult Education for Social Change. My background includes performing with professional orchestras in Colombia such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Caldas and the Filarmónica de Medellín, as well as collaborating with various ensembles and projects in the UK. In my teaching, I combine classical training with elements of improvisation, swing, and Latin American music. I’m passionate about making music accessible and enjoyable for everyone, helping each student develop confidence, creativity, and strong technical foundations.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, interests, and experience. I combine solid classical technique with creative approaches that make learning enjoyable and effective. Whether you’re preparing for ABRSM exams, starting from scratch, or looking to expand into new styles I’ll guide you step by step. My lessons focus on building confidence, musicality, and a genuine love for playing the violin. I teach students of all ages and levels, offering a supportive environment where everyone can progress at their own pace.
I can teach in crouch end, Muswell Hill and Hornsey.
