About Carolyn
I swam competitively for 5 years and medalled several times.
Moved in to teaching swimming and have taught for over 14 years now.
I am an STA qualified level 2 teacher.
STA Baby & Pre School qualified
NPLQ Qualified
Public Liability Insured
Experienced in both STA & ASA syllabuses
I am lucky enough to have travelled to several destinations around the world with my qualification.

About the lesson

I work in a calm manner and encourage calm learning.
I explain to people (particularly children) that they didn't learn to write in one lesson and so swimming is the same. I have plenty of patience!
I teach people how to blow out of their nose under water so water doesn't go up. This will be the basis of the first few lessons and as confidence grows will be consistent in all lessons.
I then encourage the correct body position aided and unaided.
Next I introduce frontcrawl and backstroke leg kicks.
This is based on the swimmer learning from scratch.
Coaching and Triathletes sessions will be adapted around clients objectives.
