About Marlys
I have taught over the last 37 years as a professional educator in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. I have also been a reading teacher in middle school for grades 6-8 in an intervention program. Helping struggling readers gain confidence is a goal of mine. I also was a classroom teacher at the State School for the Blind. I also worked as a Literacy Data Collector at a university on a Reading research project for 4 years. I really value helping different students find success within themselves by encouraging growth and self-belief.
