About Sebastian
As an undergraduate student, I worked for two years in my school's writing center, and as such I have a great deal of experience working with students across a variety of disciplines, and I even got to help students with assignments in Spanish. I'm absolutely committed to helping students learn as much as they can and getting as comfortable as possible with Spanish. Furthermore, I want to ensure that they truly encounter the culture and lived realities of people in the Spanish speaking worlds, and that their horizons and perspectives broaden in the process.

In a typical lesson, be it with a high schooler or a college student, I'll typically begin with a small conversation in whichever language I'm teaching in order to gauge the student's level. Then, we can go over a few assignments together and work on things like pronunciation, vocabulary building, and listening to the language, all while getting to know one another and establishing a rapport of trust and confidence between one another. As I know from experience, such an approach is guaranteed to help the student improve in their abilities with whichever language they are studying, and I myself grow as a tutor from watching their own encounters with this new language.
