My teaching method is largely student-led, with a focus on understanding over rote learning. Students will be expected to approach me with difficulties they are encountering in the curriculum. We will then approach these in a number of different ways to figure out the best way for the individual to understand the problem. We will be working with the assistance of exam guides, worksheets and past papers until the student can confidently approach an exam question without any help. A small amount of homework (around one hour) will be expected to consolidate what we have gone through in lessons.
Hello! My name is Daisy and I am a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham with first class honours in History. Prior to my degree, I studied Maths, Physics and History at A-Level, in which I achieved BBA respectively. I have tutored one student with dyscalculia who had attempted GCSE Mathematics 3 previous times without assistance and achieved a U each time - with hard work and help from me she was able to raise her grade from a U to a D on her fourth attempt.
