About Sam
My name is Sam Finnimore, and I am a freelance artist and tutor from the UK, living and working in Australia from January 2022.
I started drawing at the age of just three and after 14 years of self taught art I was accepted into Exeter College without any prior art qualifications to study an Art and Design diploma. After successfully graduating I went on to study at University, and graduated in 2018 with Bachelor’s (HONS) degree in Illustration.
For the 3 years that followed I have been a freelance artist, improving my skills and getting involved with as many new projects as I can. In the past few years I have run a community art project, bringing graffiti murals to my local area. I have been a contestant on Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’, and created an independent fashion brand called The Ace Life. All the while I have been working as a freelance tutor and artist, with artwork in private and public collections all around the UK.
As of 2022 I will be starting a new adventure in Australia, where I will be living and working, collecting and distributing the knowledge I have gained in the Art industry. It’s my goal to inspire and help every student I meet, and know from personal experience that whether you have or haven’t had an arts education, worked in the creative industry, or even picked up a pencil or not it is entirely possible for us to get you creating incredible artwork.

From complete beginners to those wanting to test their skills in detailed and realistic drawing, we can take your art ability to the next stage.Technique can be taught but creativity comes from within, so we’ll work to improve both technical ability and the creative process to achieve the artwork you wish to create.
As a self taught artist from the age of three, with the luxury of six years arts education and four years as a freelance artist, I’m fortunate to be able to use what I have learnt from all aspects of the industry to help others achieve their their artistic limits.
