About Dan
I am a recent graduate from the Master's in Teaching program at Seattle University. My undergraduate degree was in English and Creative Writing. I'm passionate about writing, reading, storytelling, and the power of written communication. I also believe in making learning FUN and bringing each student's unique voice and identity into the things they write!

I believe in student-centered learning and using a tailored approach to meet each student's unique needs. I try to create lesson plans that are laser-focused on strengthening the areas where you need to grow!
I have experience teaching middle school, high school, and undergraduate students, and a teaching certification in English Language Arts. I am especially good at helping students brainstorm, outline, and write essays (including book reports, literary analysis, research papers, and college admissions essays). I can also provide detailed help with improving spelling and grammar in an easy-to-access format. I have worked with ESL/MLL students and deeply enjoy explaining the tricks of the English language.
