About David

Over the last few years I've taught around 10 people alongside recording bands professionally. Some of those tutees have sat in on clients recording and realising their projects with me, some have had one-on-one tuition with me in my purpose-built studio, something that many Music Technology tutors simply cannot offer.

About the lesson

Learn to produce music outside the box when today so much is lost inside. Think of the best recordings ever made and a large extent of them will have been recorded in real studios, with real microphones, with real know-how. I offer a hands-on approach to modern and classic recording / mixing techniques - sound-source optimisation, mic-placement, signal-routing, corrective EQ, creative effects-processing, level balance and panning, automation, and mastering techniques all taught at The Attic Sounds - (concealed information)

Perfect! Had a couple of tutorials with David and he's helped me identify a good amount of bad habits that have held my mixing back for years.

He's willing to work with a variety of genres and is very easy to get along with.
