About Anna
I am fluent in the language, and have volunteered at a local bilingual elementary school over the summer and some during the school year helping students learn how to read and write in Spanish. I worked closely with kindergarten students to help them learn their vowels and consonants, but also performed duties to help rising third graders through summer school. I also recently traveled to Ecuador and was used, specifically, as an interpreter and translator for both my peers and the program directors.

I've been speaking, writing, reading, and learning Spanish since my first day of kindergarten. I am fluent in the language and am currently working on my interpreter certificate through Durham Technical Community College.
Teaching slowly with many repetitions and hands-on activities is my favorite approach. If a student is struggling with a word, for example, I will find a way to make associations with other words, create a rhyme to remember it by, or sound it out slowly until they begin to grasp it. I plan to help each student with all of their Spanish needs!
I am available to tutor students enrolled in Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, AP Spanish Literature, and Conversational Spanish.
