About River
I am an A level English literature, Politics and Psychology student at Hills Road Sixth Form College. I'm 17 years old and love spending my free time playing sports, I am also great with younger students since I have a lot of experience babysitting. I am extremely dedicated to my studies and love to use the skill of teaching others to sharpen my own knowledge.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. As an English Literature A-Level student at Hills Road Sixth Form College, I’m passionate about English and enjoy helping others develop their skills and confidence.
Lessons can cover a range of areas, including reading comprehension, creative and analytical writing, essay structure, grammar, vocabulary and literary analysis. For students studying towards exams, I can also help with understanding texts, planning essays, developing strong arguments and practising exam-style questions.
I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I encourage them to think independently and develop skills they can use on their own. Lessons can be adapted depending on what the student finds most challenging, making each session focused, engaging and useful.
