About Jacobus
I am a mechatronic engineer (M.Eng) and computer scientist (PhD), with around 15 years experience in programming and electronics. I have tutored a number of students who had no experience with code and helped them achieve grades far surpassing their own expectations.

I teach anyone at any experience level who's keen to learn programming, including GCSE learners, undergraduate students and adults learning a new skill.
In my experience as a student and researcher, I've had to learn many different programming languages and have found that the adage 'practise makes perfect' holds true. That being said, there are a number of key concepts that, had I known and understood them earlier, would have made the learning process much easier. My lessons therefore consist of visual presentations to explain key concepts in layman's terms before diving into coding exercises to gain that crucial practical experience.
I strive to foster a friendly, casual environment where students can feel comfortable asking questions and have a conversation. I am also a polite and patient person by nature
