About Elina
I have 6 years of experience teaching piano, and I am also a composer and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. My teaching is guided by the idea that music is a lifelong journey of exploration. I focus on improvisation and spontaneous composition to help students create their own voice. Beginners start with strong fundamentals while exploring creativity. Advanced learners dive into original works and performance techniques. Each lesson is a mix of structure and imagination. Technical skills are always tied to artistic expression. I encourage risk-taking and experimentation. My work as a composer brings depth to creative teaching. My background as a performer adds insight into phrasing and style. Students gain confidence through both discipline and play. Music becomes an ongoing journey, not just a skill. My approach to teaching piano focuses on auditory skills and ear training. I teach students to hear and identify chords, rhythms, and melodies by ear.
