About Eliza
Hi! I’m Eliza, a cello teacher based in London. I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from the Royal College of Music, where I studied with internationally renowned cellist Richard Harwood.
I teach students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners picking up the cello for the first time to students preparing for ABRSM exams, auditions, or performances. Whether your goal is to achieve high exam marks or simply enjoy making music, I’ll tailor each lesson to suit your pace and interests.
My lessons focus on building a strong technical foundation while developing confidence, musicality, and expressive playing. I create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy making steady progress.
I teach in both English and Mandarin Chinese, and I look forward to helping you reach your musical goals!

Every lesson is tailored to your individual goals, whether you’re learning for fun, preparing for ABRSM exams, auditions, competitions, or simply looking to improve your technique and confidence on the cello.
Lessons cover everything from posture, bow technique, intonation, tone production, rhythm, and music reading to musical expression and performance skills. I believe learning should be both enjoyable and rewarding, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s age, experience, and learning pace.
I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, and I’m happy to teach both children and adults. Lessons are available in English and Mandarin Chinese, and I’ll provide clear guidance, personalised feedback, and practice strategies to help you continue improving between lessons.
