About Eliza
I am a cellist currently studying Cello Performance at the Royal College of Music in London. I previously completed my Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance at the University of Toronto, where I gained extensive training in both solo and orchestral performance.
My background includes orchestral playing and competition experience, including prize placements at the Kiwanis Music Festival. I have also performed as a cellist in the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, developing strong experience in ensemble and performance settings.
I aim to create supportive, structured lessons that help students build strong technical foundations while developing confidence and musical expression on the cello.

I am a cellist studying at the Royal College of Music, offering cello lessons for beginners to intermediate students. My teaching focuses on building strong technical foundations while helping students develop musical expression and confidence.
Lessons cover essential cello techniques such as posture, bow control, tone production, intonation, and rhythm, alongside repertoire suited to each student’s level. I also teach effective practice strategies so students can improve consistently between lessons. For more advanced students, we also explore phrasing, musical interpretation, and performance preparation.
Lessons are typically 30–60 minutes and are structured but flexible, depending on the student’s goals and pace of learning.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Toronto and am currently continuing my studies in performance at the Royal College of Music. My background includes orchestral performance and competition achievements, including prize placements in the Kiwanis Music Festival.
My lessons are open to children, teenagers, and adults, whether you are learning the cello for the first time, preparing for music exams, or simply looking to develop your skills and enjoyment of the instrument.
