About Mariah
"Music became my life during childhood, leading me to study piano intensely for many years. I admit that my teaching style is direct and no-nonsense because I want students to achieve real results quickly. Having guided 4 years of piano learners, I prioritise building rock solid technique alongside the joy of music.
Students I work with gain command over dynamics and expression while refining posture and hand position. We tackle sight playing and music theory to ensure deep understanding, moving through hand independence and ear training with purpose. Jazz improvisation is often included for those seeking a creative edge in their performance."

"Pianos are loud. We begin by performing a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan that fits your current level.
My background from the Royal College of Music influences how I structure the time we spend together at the keyboard. You can expect a focus on technical habits that actually stick over time.
Think of our 9 minute warm up as the foundation for the entire session. I keep things moving forward with clear expectations and honest feedback on your progress. Music should feel rewarding, and my approach ensures you maintain steady growth through consistent practice and deliberate study."
