About Ruby
I have experience in peer mentoring, academic writing, and student support. As a peer mentor, I worked closely with students by offering guidance, encouragement, and academic support while helping them navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom. That experience strengthened my communication skills and taught me how important patience, understanding, and adaptability are when working with different learning styles. Throughout college, I have also developed strong skills in essay writing, research, reading analysis, and professional writing. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving at their own pace.

My goal is to create a supportive and low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities. I personalize lessons based on each student’s goals, whether they need help organizing essays, improving grammar, strengthening critical thinking skills, or preparing resumes and academic assignments. I work best with middle school, high school, and college students who want patient guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies they can actually use both inside and outside the classroom.
