About Matthew
I am a recent graduate in English from Salem State University, with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. I like to focus on creative writing in my free time and take my English very seriously, but beyond that I am laidback and tend to be super chill no matter the situation at hand. I am not a strict tutor at all, I just encourage everyone to be their best self around me and to show that best self in their work. You won't have to worry about being scrutinized or scolded with me. I have been tutoring for three years now, but I am always willing to learn from everyone.

- I am typically a hands-off tutor who tends to not speak during sessions and lets students focus 100% on their work unless they have questions or anything to show me. This is to make sure that they are entirely focused on working without any distractions.
- A typical lesson would be me keeping track of you while you do your work, acting on standby in case something comes up that you need me to review.
- I prefer working with college students, high school graduates entering college, and high school students. I can help with essays, writing assignments, and creative writing.
- As a tutor I will create an environment that encourages growth and progress first and foremost.
- Three years of tutoring experience at Salem State University, worked as a tutor for Summer Bridge Academy during Summer 2023. I am always excited to help others.
