About Carmen
Born to French speaking parents, I originally learned to speak French both in the home and in school thanks to my bilingual education and have since graduated from UCSB with my bachelor's degrees in both French and International Relations. Since graduating, I have worked with youth both as tutor at a local middle school and in a youth oriented workforce development program.

My teaching method is very practical. I like to teach words, concepts and phrases that you would use in your everyday life and work from there! I encourage students to absorb in language media and discuss freely! Additionally, accent development is important to my teaching technique as it is fundamental to the French language.
