About Luna
Hi there, I’m Luna! I’m currently studying Legal Studies and Psychology at UC Santa Cruz, but before that, I earned my Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences during high school through a dual enrollment program. That experience exposed me early to college-level coursework and taught me how to manage deadlines, work independently, and stay organized—skills that continue to shape how I approach academic challenges. Since 2020, I’ve worked as a tutor, primarily helping children and pre-teens with writing, reading, and homework support. I’ve also worked as a swim instructor, camp counselor, preschool co-teacher, and a board member at the Gilroy Library—roles that required clear communication, adaptability, and focused attention on how people learn and stay engaged. These experiences have taught me how to guide students through their work in a way that’s structured, approachable, and practical. In tutoring sessions, I focus on helping students understand assignments, build strong writing and reading habits, and approach their work with more confidence and clarity. Whether we’re editing an essay or reviewing a reading, my goal is always to make the process feel more manageable and less overwhelming.
