About Maia
I am currently working as a science teacher in London, working mainly with KS3 and some KS4 students. Before teaching, I was in academics, researching cancer immunology after my masters in biochemistry. I have been tutoring from the start of my postgraduate studies 7 years ago and have experience with GCSE and A level across exam boards and prior attainments. I love watching my students gain confidence as the lessons go on.

I focus my teaching on the topics that my students find the most difficult first and we work on getting the basics right together. I take a problem solving approach to learning and believe that you should never have to memorize anything I'm science if you really understand them. I work with each student to understand their ideal method of learning.
