About Alexandra
I hold a teaching qualification (AFHEA) and have experience lecturing, running tutorials and supervising research at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I’ve also taught primary and secondary school pupils, including neurodiverse students with autism, ADHD, and other neurological differences. I’m passionate about inclusive, engaging biology education for all learners.

I’m a passionate and approachable tutor with a First-Class degree in Biology and have recently passed my Biology PhD viva, where I used bioinformatics methods to study brain ageing and disease. I offer support in: • Genetics and transcriptomics • Veterinary and animal biology (with hands-on research experience at a veterinary medical college in the United States) • Molecular biology, neurobiology, cellular biology, microbiology, ecology, biodiversity, neuroscience, and related topics I tailor each session to your goals—whether you’re preparing for GCSEs (Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics), A-levels (Biology and Chemistry), university modules, or simply want to boost your understanding.
