About Ella
Hi there! My name is Ella and I'm from Surrey, England. I am currently studying biomedical science at university, with the hope of one day becoming a research scientist. In my free time, I love painting and enjoy surfing and swimming in the sea whenever I can.
I began my teaching career as a swimming instructor, which allowed me to work with a diverse range of children and learn from them. This experience helped me develop my teaching skills. Later, I became a learning support assistant, providing assistance to secondary school students with disabilities and special educational needs. Working as a learning support assistant helped me gain more knowledge about special educational needs and how to support SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) students. I feel that I've developed a specialist knowledge of SEND, and I would love to help more students with special educational needs.
Moreover, I'm a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher and I enjoy helping people improve their language skills.

I usually begin my teaching sessions with an icebreaker and a game to refresh your memory on the topics we covered in previous classes. Then, we move on to the main content, which may involve revisiting the concepts you learned in school or exploring new ones from the start. To achieve this, I use a combination of whiteboard work, quizzes, questions, and PowerPoint presentations. Once you feel comfortable with your understanding of the new material, we will review it by working on a past paper question.
