About James
I am a recent graduate from Imperial College London with an upper second class degree in Geology. My final year MSci project allowed me to specialize in economic geology with the developing of new exploration strategies for epithermal Au deposits in collaboration with the Natural History Museum. During my undergraduate degree I gained invaluable experience in teaching working as an undergraduate teaching assistant, where I helped break down complex geological problems in an accessible manor.
Before university I achieved all As in A-level Geology, Biology and Geography, and A-A*s in GCSE triple science, geography and English.

All lessons are highly personalized depending on the students individual needs. However, more generally lessons will consist of topic walkthroughs in an interactive manor, exam question practice including developing model answers and content summarization (producing revision resources e.g. revision cards). Where ever possible emphasis will be put on developing a deeper understanding rather than simple memorization, as this will allow students to perform best when under the pressure of exams. I am a strong believer in there being no such thing as a stupid question and strive to make lessons a warm and safe place.
