About Abigail
Watching students build their own 'aha' moments is what motivates me. I think science is an incredible tool to have under your belt, but being such a vast, complex field of study, it can scare many students off. Although I take pride in good academic results, seeing my students embrace the 'try, fall, try again' philosophy that is so central to the curiosity that science is based on is why I like tutoring in this area.

I tutor with an associative learning approach, with a focus on confidence in the face of assessments. Working through past papers and practice problems for 1 hour to find what mental connections may be missing or unclear, and then explaining those concepts as we go in different ways to strengthen those links, is what a typical lesson would look like. As the examination period draws near, I also focus on how to approach the exam and break down questions.
I tutored Level 2 Chemistry and Level 2 Physics in 2019, as well as Level 2 Chemistry and Level 3 Physics in 2020.
