About Keisha
I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems without pressure.
I am originally from Auckland and am currently a second-year student at the University of Otago studying Law and Māori Studies. My studies have reflected how dedicated I am, and understand how hard it is when you are struggling. My experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, which I bring into my tutoring.
I am a very social and bubbly person and enjoy creating positive environments where people feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and confident, so I aim to make tutoring relaxed, encouraging, and tailored to each individual student.
I work hard and take pride in being reliable, organized, and professional. My goal is not only to help students understand their subjects better, but also to help them build confidence in their abilities and feel more comfortable with their learning.

I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. My approach is to first understand how each student learns best, then explain concepts in clear and simple ways. I like to break down difficult ideas step-by-step and work through examples together so students can build confidence and develop problem-solving skills rather than just memorizing methods.
Lessons typically run for around one hour, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for the student. Sessions can include going over class material, working through practice questions, preparing for assessments, or revising key concepts.
My lessons are open to students of any age or level, particularly those studying NCEA Calculus or Physics. I am also happy to do English and writing if needed!
