About Leah
I am on the road to graduating from Teachers College this coming April. I have taught in multiple English classrooms with great success. English is a complicated language with many nuances and intricacies and therefore can seem quite daunting. However, learning the language does not have to be an isolated activity. I am here to encourage, assist, and teach students how to harness the power of words to create something beautiful.

I believe language is the most powerful tool a student can acquire. Every student I have ever taught posses a unique form of knowledge. I am a strong believer in meeting students where they are at and designing open-ended tasks with multiple entry points that allow students to showcase and improve their knowledge and understanding.
I have taught students ranging from 13 to 18-years-old. From my lessons you can expect hands-on tasks designed with meaning making in mind. A typical lesson incorporates visual, kinesthetic, and verbal aspects to ensure all students needs are met.
