About Madeline
Hi! I'm Madeline. I am currently a senior in high school. I've been reading and writing ever since I can remember. I used to sneak books at night and pull all-nighters reading them and have notebooks full of book ideas. As well as that, I have been in multiple AP English classes as well as creative writing courses. I believe that writing should be something everyone gets practice with, especially creative writing. It's an amazing way to express yourself and let your imagination grow. I hope that people will leave my lessons feeling encouraged and ready to explore all the fantastic ideas they have!

I believe that English, especially creative writing, should be taught interactively while also engaging in writing exercises and exposure to different authors and mediums. I can work with middle school kids as well as underclassmen in high school. What sets me apart is the fact that I have so much passion and love for writing and hope to pass that on to other people. A lesson plan would look like a creative writing warm up or icebreaker followed by a lesson about a skill (show don't tell, dialogue, etc.) It could also look like analyzing a short passage and sparking conversation over that, and then giving the student a more detailed prompt and giving feedback.
