About Milind
I am currently a senior at Iowa State University studying Materials Engineering and Pre-Law. I've had a passion for chess every since I was in Kindergarten, and have been playing since then. I've traveled across the country playing chess, and was one of the Top 50 Players in Iowa U16 (2016). While I do not play chess as competitively anymore, I continue to teach chess locally at elementary schools in Iowa, along with having directed chess tournaments for charity in my time.

-I like to employ a 3 pronged approach with chess. A lot of tutors will emphasize memorizing openings at the beginning for the beginners/intermediate stage of player, but I simply believe this approach is wrong. What makes a good chess player ultimately is 4 simple concepts:
- Being able to foresee any threats.
- Tactics (especially Middlegame/Endgame Theory)
- Being patient.
- Enjoy playing !
These are the concepts that are reflective of my teaching style, and I hope these are important to you as well! Given my rating, I am looking to tutor beginner/intermediate players, and anyone in between!
