About Arthur
Here is a music recommendation you won't find anywhere - watch Milton Mermikedes Gresham College Lectures on music - they are astounding. I was lucky enough to work at St Lukes LSO venue and watch them in person.
I am an artist and collaborator, producing my own work alongside music for artists Billie Raynard and Starlight Collective as a producer, songwriter and performer.
I have also worked as a sound designer and composer for short films. Collaborating with Director Zeta Georgia Gkoka, our film You Can Call Lou is available on NOWNESS and featured at the BFI London Festival 2025 and London Short Film Festival.
Our latest film In Your City, my debut music video, won best music video at Bolton International Film Festival 2026, The Big Fridge International Film Festival and London Independent Film Festival 2026.
I have interned at Church Studios, completed a residency at Rockfield Studios and work and collaborate with some of the best and up and coming musicians in London at IMW, such as Starlight Collective and Chrom3. I also completed a Guitar residency with Robert Fripp under his Guitar Circle Orchestra course this year.
To hear my work, please look up 'Starlight Collective,' or my artist name 'Arthur Newman' or my first collaboration with my sister over lockdown 'Lily Brings the Weather' (which made it to BBC introducing)
As a songwriter, pianist, music nerd, guitarist and vocalist I am flexible to help you bring your work to life. My favourite artists currently are Floating Points, Glen Campbell and Henryk Górecki (I also love Pink Floyd and Radiohead)

I've recorded and performed with Arthur as a collaborator so I've seen him at work in different settings. Arthur is an experienced and qualified teacher and lecturer in music production and is also a really talented musician (guitar, piano, voice) and songwriter. He's very patient and open minded, someone who can help guide you in your creative process. He also loves analog production gear and likes to find ways to honour what you bring.
