About Jennifer
Hiya! I'm Jen and I'm a singing bass player and tutor based in Liverpool! I have 5 years of professional experience working as a session musician, songwriter/producer and facilitator. I can't wait to join you on your instrument-learning journey!
Experience:
As part of First Take’s Reel Queer project, I developed and taught a four-week course on Film Scoring using Logic to LGBT+ youth. I organised project assets, developed content materials and managed student’s specific requests and ideas.
I perform with a wide variety of artists, tribute acts and function bands in a range of genres including pop, rock, jazz and soul. I recently taught at a Jazz Camp for Girls workshop (age 14-15) with Parr Jazz in Liverpool. I also play in the Mosh Tots band at Future Yard for children aged 1 to 8!
I have an enhanced DBS.

Lessons can be half an hour, but I usually recommend an hour.
The content will depend on the student and their level. I will cover grades if that is your goal but more generally I want to ensure you get excited about playing your instrument! This includes learning songs, trying and developing new techniques and gaining other valuable musical skills!
