About Grace
A single note held with perfect resonance creates a moment of clarity that anchors a student in their technique. I begin every new student relationship with a diagnostic vocal assessment to identify immediate areas for development. We use specific warm-up exercises to prepare the instrument before addressing sight singing or microphone technique.
My background from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama ensures that my pedagogy remains rigorous and grounded in classical tradition. I keep the pace steady to ensure that complex concepts like phrasing become second nature. The air in a performance hall carries a specific vibration that only a trained singer can truly manipulate with ease. Having spent 8 years performing with a leading British chamber ensemble, I have cultivated a deep technical foundation that informs every minute I spend in the studio. I work primarily with grade exam candidates, intermediate learners, hobbyists, and kids to help them find their true vocal identity.
My 7 years of experience have shown me that vocal health is the cornerstone of all sustainable progress. My approach focuses on diction, articulation, tone, resonance, and the delicate balance of head and chest voice. I also emphasise vibrato control and healthy belting technique to ensure range expansion remains safe. Rhythm, phrasing, and performance confidence are areas where I see students make the most significant shifts in their overall ability.
It is genuinely rewarding to see a student finally connect with their unique sound after working through the fundamentals. Helping others discover the clarity in their own voice is what makes this practice so enjoyable for me.
