About Antonia
I am a singer, violinist and music teacher with more than ten years experience in coaching individuals and groups in music and theatre workshops and teaching classical and modern singing and violin both privately and in schools in Italy and in the Uk.
My training is classical (I have a degree in singing and obtained a MA in Renaissance and Baroque singing from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Italy). Given my interest in many genres of music
(I have sung in popular, folk and jazz improvisation groups), and acting and
the theatrical voice (having studied the Linklater voice method), in the years
I have developed a versatile and engaging voice method. I am an enthusiast of singing, for this reason I love to teach all ages and levels, and tailor the lesson based on the taste and wishes of the student. I teach in my home in Bristol, online and travelling to pupils’s homes. I offer packages and offers on lessons when booked in advance. If you want to explore your voice and learn how to sing your favourite rock song or opera aria, book now! First lesson is half price.

A very brief presentation of my singing method:
starting from the notions of diaphragm-conscious breathing and classical vocalisation, my method is mainly focused on exploring the natural voice, freeing it and developing a technique that can allow the student to use
the voice as he or she prefers in any type of style or repertoire.
I usually structure a 1 hour lesson in three parts:
1. warm up with breathing exercises and vocalisation accompanied on the keyboard;
2. singing technique exercises for different levels;
3. working on arias or songs chosen together with the student
I have a fresh and open view of teaching, trying to accommodate
the interests of the students, especially the younger ones, and
combining study with fun!

Perfect! Learning with Antonia is a fantastic experience! She's so knowledgeable and I found myself learning really quickly. She's also super accommodating as a teacher, and works at your pace. As someone who likes drills and technique she increased focus on those parts of the lesson which I really enjoyed. She also pointed me to so many resources to enrich my understanding of singing, and was open to giving me feedback on recordings I sent her. I can't recommend her enough!
