Hi. I look forward to working with you. I teach grades 5-12 and my method of teaching is using interactive activities to keep students engaged while learning relevant academic skills.
At the beginning of every lesson, I introduce the lesson's topic by using an interesting activity to spark students' background knowledge. Students use their knowledge to answer questions and engage in a brief conversation.
After the lesson's introduction, I demonstrate an academic skill, guide students to practice the skill with me, and then encourage students to practice the skill on their own with my help as needed. This is one example of how I present a lesson. I present lessons using various techniques according to students' needs.
Throughout every lesson, I use visuals, graphic organizers, videos, online worksheets, and/or online games for students to practice skills in an engaging manner.
