About Johnny

I'm a poet and musician based in Glasgow, where I'm currently working on my debut album. I learnt both the guitar and bass as a teenager, honing my craft over the last ten years on stages like St Luke's (as a solo artist) and at festivals like Knockengorroch (as a bassist). My debut EP of original songs, Rupert Street, came out last year.

About the lesson

Let's get you playing some beautiful music! With extensive teaching and performing experience across disciplines over the last ten years, I'm a great fit for those who want to: - Write their first ever songs - Get better at finger-picking or strumming patterns - Learn how to hold down and develop a bassline It's also worth us talking if you're: - An actor wanting more work in the thriving actor-muso scene - Moving beyond basic chords into using more advanced harmony Lessons are 45 minutes to an hour long!
