About Julianna Sophia
Hi! My name is Julianna, I'm from Los Angeles, but I'm currently residing in Berkeley while working towards my bachelor's degree in both Social Welfare and Gender and Women's Studies. I am passionate about writing and literature, along with music, crafting, and cats! I have previously tutored in LA, and I'm looking for more students who need some extra encouragement or maybe a gentle push to help them reach their full potential.

As an instructor, I like to take time to build a strong foundation that can build students' confidence and overall strength in reading and writing.
A typical lesson plan would vary depending on my student's skill level, but for a younger student, I might spend 10 minutes warming up their brain with sounding out sounds using phonics. I'd then spend around 45 minutes working on their goals through various reading and spelling games. I would spend the last 5 minutes reading a part of a book they selected and then quizzing them on their comprehension after.
