About Mara
I’m genuinely passionate about Sociology and History and love exploring how society, people and the past shape the world around us. I want to share that enthusiasm with students and show them that these subjects can be interesting, thought-provoking and truly enjoyable. My aim is to inspire confidence, encourage curiosity and help students develop the same appreciation for these subjects that I have.

My approach is friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s needs. Lessons typically last an hour and combine clear explanations, discussion, active recall, essay planning and exam-style questions. I have achieved an A grade in A-level Sociology and B in History, with a background of mostly A* predictions throughout sixth form. I teach GCSE and A-level Sociology and History (AQA/Edexcel), helping students build confidence, improve exam technique and achieve their goals.
