I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Whether you need support with the foundations, a boost in confidence, or just someone to guide you through a specific piece of work, I’m here to help. If traditional lessons aren’t your thing, that’s totally fine—everyone learns differently. One thing about me is that I’m very flexible, and I’ll always do my best to adapt to what works best for you. I also have experience and qualifications in working with learners with Additional Support Needs, so I’m confident in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

My tutoring style is relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student. I focus on building confidence, breaking things down in a way that makes sense, and helping with things like essay writing, exam prep, or just getting to grips with tricky topics. Lessons are usually an hour, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for you. I studied Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, have a PGCert in Inclusive Education, and I'm currently training to be a Modern Studies secondary teacher. I’ve also worked with young people in various support roles, and I’m confident working with different learning styles and needs. I also support students transitioning from primary to secondary school. This can be a big change, so I help them adjust to new expectations, develop good study habits, and build confidence in a secondary school setting. I mainly tutor secondary school students (National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher), but I also help university students with essay writing and proofreading.

Perfect! Ben was prepared for the initial lesson, asked for some answer sheets so he could target the lesson to my daughters s strengths and develop needs. He has been very flexible and accommodating to our needs regarding lesson dates.
