About Lyuba
I am passionate about computer science education. I volunteer as a remote teaching assistant for TEALSK12, a Microsoft-sponsored program that pairs classroom teachers with software development industry professionals in order to launch or expand computer science programs in New York City public schools. I work with students directly to get them “unstuck” throughout their coding projects, spark their interest in computer science and help them work through any problems they encounter.

Having started programming while attending Stuyvesant High School in New York City, I went on to earn a computer science degree from Columbia University. I have been working in the technology industry for over 10 years as a software developer, business analyst, project manager, and graduate program director. I am working towards a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, expected June 2017.
