About Grace
Most guitarists struggle with rhythm because they try to play too fast before they have mastered their strumming patterns. I admit that I spent years refining my own sense of time before I felt comfortable playing lead guitar parts in front of an audience.
We will break down your chosen songs into manageable sections so you can see how theory applies to the music you enjoy. I integrate reading sheet music and tabs to ensure you have a complete technical toolkit. My lessons for intermediate and advanced learners focus on refining tone and precision in every chord transition. I have been teaching for 7 years and I focus on keeping the environment low-pressure.
If you want to refine your lead playing or write your own songs, we can focus on those specific goals. The process of making music should be as satisfying as the final performance. I enjoy the moment when a student realises they can finally hear the music they are creating.

Absolute beginners often think they need to learn every scale on the fretboard before they can play a single chord. My own journey as a musician began after 8 years performing with a leading British chamber ensemble, which gave me a unique perspective on how to structure a practice routine. I hold a MMus Voice from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and I apply those same principles of musical literacy to the guitar.
I have helped 344 students master barre chords, power chords, and complex strumming patterns with a focus on efficiency. My teaching covers everything from reading tabs and sheet music to advanced scales and modes for performance-focused students. I value the way that theory bridges the gap between mechanical skill and creative songwriting. It is a pleasure to watch students transform their technical abilities into genuine musical expression.
