About Alissa
Hi! I’m Alissa, a Psychology graduate and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a strong background in academic support and ACT prep. I create customized tutoring sessions that help students build confidence, strengthen key skills, and reach their goals. I also have experience working with neurodivergent learners, including those with autism and ADHD. My goal is always to make learning feel supportive, focused, and empowering.

My preferred teaching method of the ACT allows me to work 1:1 or in small groups with high school students focused on going to college. I will provide them with resources to see where they stand and increase their proficiency of the test. My tutoring will require multiple sessions of a few hours at a time so they can learn the material needed and prepare until the test. We will also practice timing of each section, understanding the ways of the ACT, and improving in the areas that the student lacks. As for neurodivergent students, depending on their skill levels I will also create a customized approach to help them learn whatever the parent reports they need to achieve.
