About Katherine
I am a professional teacher of foreign languages with a Master's degree in Linguistics. Spanish was one of my majors in my Bachelor's, and I have also gained an ELE (Spanish language teaching) qualification. I taught foreign languages at a university for 2 years, and I have 10 years of experience as a language tutor. I am also a language fan and a polyglot who speaks 3 languages fluently and is learning a few more - which means I know exactly what it's like to be a language learner! My other hobbies include drawing and painting, reading, cooking. I love learning new things and I just love living! My mission as a teacher is not just to share my knowledge, but also to motivate and inspire my students!

Hi, I'm Katherine! I teach Spanish to teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to intermediate level. I can also provide help with exam preparation, such as the GCSE in Spanish. I always personalise my lessons to the needs of my students, I will make sure you study the things that are relevant to you and get a high score in your exam! A typical lesson with me lasts 60 minutes. I usually teach online through Zoom. I am very patient and understanding, and I'm always ready to give you additional explanations and additional exercises when you need them. I will take into account what you'd like to learn, such as concentrate on the spoken or written aspects of the language, or help you gain a deeper understanding of the Spanish grammar or expand your vocabulary. During my lessons, you will receive all the materials you need for successful learning. We will take as much or as little time as you need for each topic until you feel confident and ready to move on. It's also up to you to decide if you want me to give you homework, but if you do, here is a little bonus for you: the marking of homework is included in the price of my lessons!
